Mark Paris
trained as a licensed aircraft engineer, a qualification he still retains. He has spent 24 years on the Oxford Canal working full time aboard his mobile workshop, 70 ft narrowboat "Helene of Troy" (pictured above).

Mark has been a fully trained and registered Boat Safety Examiner for 13 years, is qualified and accredited to CITB gas and is gas safe registered, holds a full boatmasters licence and regularly lectures RYA Diesel Engine Course at Tooley's Boatyard, Banbury, where you can learn all about your engine and boat and the maintenance it needs.

His vast experience in engineering means that he is able to assist boat owners who use his Boat Safety Examiner service with advice on how to remedy any problems encountered. He can also advise where to purchase any parts, recommend engineering services.
